Liguria is home to two very beautiful and very popular tourist attractions- Le Cinque Terre and Portofino.
 
Le Cinque Terre which means "five lands," is made up of five small villages that run along the coast line of the province La Spezia, Liguria.

The five villages are Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Le Cinque Terre is known for its beuaty, beaches, and unmodernized charm. One is able to get to the Le Cinque Terre villages by train or car, although this wasn't possible until the 1960s. Many tourists enjoy hiking along the trails between the villages and admiring the spectacular views.

 

Portofino- Noted for its breathtaking beauty, it is a little fishing village located in the province of Genova, Liguria.

Its marina is filled with small boats as well as huge yachts bobbing in the water near the brightly colored buildings. Portofino has become a popular getaway for celebrities who often stay in the luxorious hotels and villas built on the tree covered hillsides. There is much to admire in Portofino, including clear waters, delicious Italian cuisine, and mesmerizing seascapes.
